Design for every part of your home.
We handle the details. You enjoy the process.
Full service - from the very beginning.
Building a home is a big investment, financially and emotionally. We're here from day one, working alongside your architect and builder to make sure the design vision holds from first sketch to final walkthrough.
We handle plan layouts, material selections, kitchen and bath design, and everything in between. But more than that, we advocate for you at every stage to ensure what you envisioned is what gets built.
Build
Honor what you love. Transform what you don't.
Whether it's one room or the entire house, renovations are an opportunity to make your home work better for the way you live.
We help you see the possibilities - what to keep, what to rethink, how to enhance the architecture and character that's already present. The result is a space that feels fresh, cohesive, and unmistakably yours.
Renovate
Maybe you’ve just finished construction. Maybe you've lived here for years and it's time for a reset. Either way, this is where everything comes together.
We take you through our layered, intentional design process - selecting pieces that fit your space, your style, your life. So you end up with a home that's polished, pulled together, and finally finished.
Furnish
“We had some hesitation at the beginning beacuse hiring someone to come into your home and make it a mirror of who you are is a big thing. But Elizabeth and her team made it so easy. The very first day, it was just so organic and so natural, and it made the entire process so fun.”

How We Work
Every EKD project moves through three phases: Discovery, Design Development, and Order & Installation. The timeline looks different for every home, but the approach is always the same — we handle the complexity so you can enjoy the process.
-
Before we sketch a single thing, we get to know you. How you live, what season of life you're in, how you want your home to feel when you walk through the door. We look at inspiration together, talk through what's working and what isn't, and start shaping a direction that feels right.
On our end, we're connecting with your architect and builder to understand the project from the ground up — reviewing floor plans and CAD files, conducting a site visit to take measurements, assessing construction allowances, and recording any existing furniture or art you want to keep. Discovery typically takes two to three weeks and sets the foundation for everything that follows. When this phase is done well, the rest of the process is exciting — not overwhelming.
-
This is where your home starts to take shape.
We begin with construction selections — the finishes and materials that form the backbone of the design. Stone, tile, flooring, cabinetry, millwork, lighting, plumbing, fireplace surrounds, countertops, hardware, paint, and wallcoverings. Everything is sourced, curated, and presented by room so you can see the full vision before a single order is placed. We draft elevations and furniture layouts based on finalized floor plans, and coordinate closely with your builder through site visits, field measures, and material reviews to make sure every deadline is met and every detail is accounted for.
As construction progresses, we move into furnishing. We build a furniture budget together, source selections across the entire home, and present them room by room so you can see how everything connects. Guided sourcing tours, pricing, approvals — then we place all orders. The furnishing portion of this phase typically takes twelve to sixteen weeks, though the pace depends on the project and the number of revisions.
This phase has the most decisions, and it's where having a team that keeps everything organized and moving makes the biggest difference.
-
Once orders are placed, this phase may feel quiet on your end — but behind the scenes, it's one of the busiest stretches of the entire project for our team. Over the course of twelve to eighteen weeks, we're tracking production timelines, reviewing and approving samples and finishes, coordinating with vendors, and managing every detail to make sure what was designed is what gets built.
As installation approaches, we begin sourcing the final layer — art, accessories, objects, the details that bring every room to life. We draft an art plan for the entire home, weaving in existing pieces alongside new ones.
Then comes the best part. Months of planning become real. We're on-site for the entire installation, managing every delivery, every installer, every detail until the home is complete. And just like that, it's yours.
