Designing Workspaces That Work

Most workspaces at home are an afterthought. We can’t have that!

Whether it’s a client running their business, a teen navigating school deadlines, or a parent writing grocery lists on a laptop, the goal is the same: a space that supports real mental focus- but with style.

What We Prioritize

  • Lighting: Natural light, layered warmth, no overhead glares

  • Cabinetry: Not too deep, not too shallow, just enough to organize and close the door

  • Mood: Textures, tones, and finishes that make you really want to be there

  • Flow: Placement that respects quiet zones and the daily chaos

For Homeowners Considering a Workspace Refresh

  • Skip the file storage! Can you go digital and keep important files somewhere in the basement or in a safety deposit box?

  • Invest in a chair with wheels or a swivel. It instantly makes me feel like I have go-go gadget arms, twirling and reaching all the things I need quickly.

  • Closed door storage for your printer and all your things.  I can really focus when my desk and mind are clear, which usually are the same thing

  • Electrical floor outlets. Don’t let the cords run the show!

  • Don’t sleep on your zoom background! Spend some time really considering what is behind you on all those calls.

  • Have kids? Consider a dedicated, distraction free study room- for all of them to create some good memories and maybe get some work done?

Hallway office with warm cabinetry, integrated lighting, and glass pocket doors.

Colorado Mountain Home

In one of our projects, the office is tucked away in the hall—surrounded by bookshelves, integrated lighting, and warm-toned cabinetry. Topped off with glass metal pocket doors to keep it bright and open.

Home office designed with a stylish Zoom background in mind.

Nashville Home

First priority, a zoom background that delighted the homeowner!

Small private home office with secretary desk and peaceful retreat vibes.

Gold Coast Home

Small but mighty space! Perfect for having a peaceful retreat closed off from the rest of the house. This gives you your thinking space and a secretary desk to hide the clutter.

Family study space with children’s artwork displayed as statement piece.

Freshwater Farmhouse

Study zone for this sweet family of 6. Take a look at the back piece of art. It is a condensed version of our client’s favorite pieces that the kids made!

These spaces don’t shout “get to work” They are more like, “I’m here when you need me.”

Here’s to having a space that holds you well so you can do your thing- in peace!
