After years in Chicago, Elizabeth and her family moved to Rocky River, Ohio to be closer to family — cousins down the street, grandparents around the corner. They made the move while the kids were young, when the people matter more than the zip code. The house had charm and original details worth keeping, a foundation for the full renovation that would make it theirs.

The layering is what defines this home. Spaces were built up slowly and personally, natural materials and rich texture set against sculptural modern pieces. The art was gathered over time, much of it Elizabeth's own designs for Opame, the art collective she co-founded. However layered and considered, nothing in it is treated as untouchable. For Elizabeth, no home is ever more precious than the people inside it.
