Warm Modern Retreat

This Chicago home is a warm modern retreat built for a family that loves being together. Now empty nesters with three kids and a golden retriever, the couple wanted a home with an atmosphere of relaxed luxury — refined and beautiful, but durable and easy to live in every day.

The architecture leads, and the same stone and steel from the exterior continue inside, grounding the space. An entire wall of the home is made of glass, drawing the lush landscape inside. Rather than fill the rooms, the furnishings stay quiet and considered, each piece scaled to complement the architecture. Sophisticated, and impossible not to relax in.
